A historic landmark of Northeastern Oregon, Cove Warm Springs is located at the southern edge of the small town of Cove in Union County. The temperature of the source and pool is around 86°F that is perfect for summer swimming.
Due to the excellent springs flow at a rate of 110 gallons per minute, the water in the pool is totally replaced several times a day. It meets state water quality requirements and no chlorination is required. The 60 by 65 feet swimming pool is built over the mineral spring source that flows up directly from a 15 by 15 feet opening that looks like a dark patch on the pool's bottom. The pool is mostly concrete except the gravel base above the source.
Cove Warm Springs is operated continuously for almost eight decades and is, typically, open for recreational swimming from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Shaded picnic areas provide a relaxing setting after or between refreshing swimming. Also, a snack bar and playground are available. The owner lives in a house nearby.
