Farewell Bend Park is a 22-acre riverfront park in Bend along the Deschutes River near Reed Market Road and the Bill Healy Memorial Bridge.
The park is a popular year-round destination for hiking, cycling, and running. It features two viewing shelters, riverfront sidewalks, a canoe launch, interpretive signage, and a playground, along with restrooms and drinking fountains.

Swimming and Other Water Sports
In summer, this section of the wild and scenic Deschutes allows you to cool off on a hot summer day. A relatively quiet stretch of the river provides opportunities for paddling, floating, tubing, and kayaking. Rentals are available at Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe (805 SW Industrial Way, 541-317-9407).
Fishing
The Deschutes River supports many fish species and offers plenty of fishing opportunities. Please verify location-specific regulations set by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Rock Climbing
Rock climbers can practice their skills at the park's bouldering area. There is a picnic sheltered spot with a capacity of 36 people and two small shelters which accommodate 4 people each.
Hiking
The Deschutes River Trail runs through the park and links Farewell Bend Park with River Bend Park across the river, 0.45 miles east, the South Canyon Bridge, 1.33 miles southwest, and the Old Mill District, 0.8 miles northeast.

Farewell Bend Park Camping & Lodging
There is no camping in the park, but you can stay at Tumalo State Park nearby.
Camping at Tumalo State Park is available year-round and accommodates a wide range of visitors. The campground includes 23 full-hookup RV sites, 54 tent-only sites, and 7 cozy yurts, some of which are ADA-accessible.
