Tseriadun State Recreation Site with Agate Beach is a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts right in Port Orford. A mile-long beach with Garrison Lake nearby is a fantastic spot for beachcombing, fishing, nature viewing, and picnicking. Take a peaceful stroll along the ocean with distant sea stacks, beautifully weathered driftwood sitting right on the sand, and wildflowers blooming in the spring.

An easy 200-yard gravel and the sand trail will take you from the parking lot to Agate Beach. The beach is gravel and coarse sand, making it easy to walk around and it is also a very productive place for agate hunting.

During winter, especially after storms, you have the highest chance to find unique pieces for your collection. Agates are plentiful here, hence the name, but you can also find jasper, a lot of sea shells, and other gifts of the ocean.

During low tides, you can explore a cove with a small gravel beach near the headland. Pay attention to the tide timing so you would not get stranded.

The 130-acre Garrison Lake sits right next to Agate Beach and it is a great place for trout fishing. Rainbow and cutthroat trout are plentiful here.

A picnic area has a tree-sheltered picnic place and restrooms. Generally, this spot doesn't attract crowds, so you can enjoy this place in peace.
