Arcadia Beach is a 1-mile sandy beach situated 3 miles south of Cannon Beach. This is an amazing destination for a quick stop to recharge and enjoy the view of the mighty Pacific Ocean. You can explore gorgeous sea stacks, beautiful tide pools exposed during low tide, and even see some caverns!
The beach stretches between Humbug Point on the north and Hug Point Beach on the south. Humbug Point and Hug Point can both be passed during low tides to explore areas usually covered by the ocean. Please, be mindful of upcoming tides level and avoid being stranded or washed off!
At low tides, you can walk around Humbug Point to Tolovana Beach and around Hug Point to Hug Point Beach.
This beach is perfect for hiking, beachcombing, picnicking, kiting, surf fishing, and tidepool exploring.
Most of the year agate hunting is limited here because the beach is covered by a thick layer of sand with little cobble along creeks and headlines. However, during winter time when storms and king tides remove sand and open beach treasures, it might be worth checking this area.
The north end of the beach is easily accessible by a trail from Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site that is right at Highway 101 and cannot be missed. The shady recreation area with a gorgeous overlook is a good place to stop and relax.
The parking area is small though rarely crowded. It is situated right by the beach so your walk to the ocean will be short, but it is a little steep. There are picnic tables under Sitka spruce adding some shade for your lunch with a terrific ocean view.

No camping is permitted at the beach. The nearest coastal towns, Cannon Beach, 3 miles away, and Seaside, 11 miles away, offers plenty of accommodation options.
