Arcadia Beach is a scenic, one-mile stretch of sand located just three miles south of Cannon Beach. This beautiful spot is perfect for a quick break to take in the Pacific Ocean's grandeur, with views of stunning sea stacks, captivating tide pools, and even hidden caverns during low tide.

The beach lies between Humbug Point to the north and Hug Point Beach to the south. At low tide, both Humbug Point and Hug Point can be crossed, revealing areas usually hidden by the ocean. Always stay mindful of the tides to avoid being stranded by the incoming water.

During low tide, you can walk around Humbug Point toward Tolovana Beach and around Hug Point toward Hug Point Beach.

This beach offers plenty of activities, including hiking, beachcombing, picnicking, kite-flying, surf fishing, and tidepool exploration.

Most of the year agate hunting is limited here because the beach is covered by a thick layer of sand with little cobble along creeks and headlines. However, during winter time when storms and king tides remove sand and open beach treasures, it might be worth checking this area.

Agate hunting here is usually limited due to the beach’s thick sand cover. However, during winter storms and king tides, sand is often washed away, exposing cobbles and beach treasures that make it worth checking for agates.

The north end of Arcadia Beach is easily accessible by a trail from Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site, conveniently located right off Highway 101. This shaded area provides picnic tables under Sitka spruce, ideal for a relaxing lunch with a gorgeous ocean view. The parking area is small but rarely crowded, with direct beach access just a short, slightly steep walk from the lot.
