Evergreen Falls Pullout

Evergreen Falls is in the Umpqua National Forest, about 30 miles southeast of Cottage Grove. It lies in the Brice Creek area, a region with numerous cascading waterfalls along its tributaries.

Evergreen Falls is a small roadside cascade near Brice Creek Road, often used as a landmark rather than a destination. A small pullout near the falls serves as a starting point for trips to Blue Hole Falls, the hidden scenic waterfall.

Like many minor waterfalls in the area, it is not officially signed but can be seen from the road and becomes especially beautiful during higher flows, when water cascades over mossy rock along a forested creek.

The surrounding area offers plenty to explore along Brice Creek. Visitors can enjoy scenic hiking along the creek and through the lush forest, with trails leading to Brice Creek Falls and Trestle Creek Falls.

During the summer, refreshing swimming holes attract many visitors. The most popular swimming spot is at Brice Creek Falls, but many others can be found along the Brice Creek Trail.

Directions to Evergreen Falls

From I-5 in Cottage Grove,

  • Take Exit 174 toward Dorena Lake and go east on Row River Road (the road becomes Shoreview Drive)
  • Travel for about 18.5 miles to the junction of Layng Creek Road (#17) and Brice Creek Road (#2470/22)
  • Turn right onto Brice Creek Road and continue for 11.2 miles to pullout on the right.
