Formerly a cow pasture, the area has now transformed into a vital habitat for a variety of birds, including Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Red-tailed Hawks, and Bald Eagles, as well as other raptors that roost on snags.
Prehistoric Store & Museum
The Prehistoric Rocks Store and Museum offers a unique blend of shopping and education. It features a diverse collection of fossils, rocks, minerals, and meteorites. Visitors are encouraged to touch and explore the exhibits. The museum also provides group tours and lectures for a more in-depth experience.
The store is open Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Jennifer Sears Art Studio
Experience captivating glassblowing demonstrations at the museum, where you can even create your own float, bowl, or sea star. General admission is free. Drift Creek Falls
Hike the 1.5-mile trail to Drift Creek Falls through a picturesque forest in the Coastal Range. At the end of the trail, you’ll find the longest suspension bridge in Oregon and Washington, extending 240 feet above the canyon. From this vantage point, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the 75-foot waterfall. Drift Creek Falls is a day-use area and is open year-round.
Drift Creek Covered Bridge
The Drift Creek Covered Bridge, also known as Bear Creek Bridge, is the oldest remaining covered bridge in Oregon. Built in 1914, this historic bridge spans Drift Creek south of Lincoln City.
