Winberry State Recreation Area is a scenic and well-developed access point on the south side of Fall Creek Reservoir. It offers the most amenities for both land and water recreation.
The park features picnic tables, fire rings, potable water, and flush toilets, making it ideal for family outings and group gatherings. There’s a beach for swimming, paddle-boarding, and other water activities.
This day-use-only area requires an access fee. The large parking lot accommodates over 100 cars and 150 boat trailers. A two-lane boat ramp provides easy access for boating and fishing.
Be aware that fluctuating water levels may flood the area during the rainy season, making it inaccessible.
Camping and Lodging near Winberry Recreation Area
Cascara Campground is the only campground at Fall Creek Reservoir, working on a first-come, first-served basis. This camp has 39 tent sites, picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets.
Fisherman’s Point Group Camp is a reservable site for larger groups, providing a secluded spot near Fall Creek.
