• Surprise Valley Hot Springs is a quiet adults-only resort with natural mineral hot springs
Surprise Valley Hot Springs is a peaceful retreat for a secluded mineral water soaking experience, surrounded by abundant outdoor recreation in the remote high desert of northeastern California.
Surprise Valley is located in the northeastern corner of California, near the borders of Nevada and Oregon. Because this remote region lies where the three states meet, it is often referred to as the Tricorner Region.
The hot springs resort offers suites, deluxe rooms, and standard rooms. Each standard and deluxe room features a private outdoor soaking tub filled with naturally heated mineral water flowing directly from the hot spring. Most suites include an indoor Jacuzzi tub supplied with hot spring water, and every accommodation has a full kitchen.

The resort is adults-only, with no guests under 18 permitted. There is no internet access on the property, allowing guests to disconnect and fully enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The resort is available exclusively to overnight guests, and reservations are required in advance.
In addition to relaxing in the mineral-rich hot spring water, guests have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the surrounding landscape.

One of the area's most remarkable attractions is the Massacre Rim Dark Sky Sanctuary, located about 30 miles east of the resort. It is one of the world's premier destinations for stargazing thanks to its exceptionally dark skies.
The historic town of Cedarville and numerous local historical sites are just a short drive from the resort.
Guests can also enjoy nearby golfing and skiing at Cedar Pass, along with numerous hiking and biking trails, excellent fishing opportunities, birdwatching, and wildlife viewing.
