Salmon Creek Falls Campground sits along Forest Road 24 in the Willamette National Forest, about 5 miles east of Oakridge and 48 miles southeast of Eugene.

Don't expect another Salt Creek Falls with towering cliffs and a dramatic plunge. Salmon Creek Falls is much smaller, and that is part of its charm.
Instead of a single tall drop, the creek squeezes through a rocky gorge-like channel and flows over a series of low cascades. The main waterfall is roughly 8 feet tall and nearly 100 feet wide, although some references estimate the drop between 5 and 10 feet depending on water levels.
What makes the Salmon Creek Falls area special is the setting around it. Several deep pools hold clear blue-green water, creating a refreshing place to cool off on warm summer afternoons. Surrounded by old-growth forest, moss-covered boulders, and easy access from the campground, this small waterfall offers a surprisingly memorable experience.

Salmon Creek Falls Campground offers 14 primitive campsites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Facilities include vault toilets, garbage service, and a day-use area. There are no hookups, and RVs up to 25 feet can fit in the campground.
Bring your own drinking water, as potable water is not reliably available. A gallon per person per day is a good amount to plan for during warm-weather visits.
All campsites are first-come, first-served. Each site allows up to 6 people, 2 vehicles, and 2 tents, with a maximum stay of 14 days within a 60-day period. Chainsaws, horses, and pack animals are not allowed.
Because the campground is small and popular, arriving early on summer weekends is recommended, especially in July and August. The day-use area is located inside the campground and access may vary outside the main camping season depending on road and facility conditions.
